Dental Implants

Dental Implants are metal screws inserted into the jawbone which attach to an artificial crown or bridge. Dental Implants are used to:

  • Replace a single missing tooth
  • Replace several teeth by placing multiple implants or making a bridge
  • Hold and support a denture

Implants come in a variety of sizes ranging from: MINI Implants (eg. IMTEC) to larger Implants (eg. Nobel Biocare). They have been used for over 30 years and have a very high rate of success. They are suitable for most adults but a detailed medical history is required to ensure success and to avoid complications.
